Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Michael Feinstein, 5 time Grammy Award nominee, platinum selling singer, pianist & Cheyenne Jackson, Broadway star of Xanadu, All Shook Up and current revival of Finian's Rainbow, at the St. James Theatre-have released their first CD together. Based on the sold out show at Feinstein's New York club at the Loews Regency the disc features pop songs, classic standards and numbers from Broadway shows like Kiss Me Kate, City of Angels, and The King and I. The Power of two, called " passionate, impeccably harmonized and groundbreaking" bu Stephen Holden of the New York Times, deftley explores partnerships of all kinds. Rex Reed of the New York Observer praised it as "unusual, provovative entertainment that makes listeners think and snap their fingers at the same time. The album's title track , " The Power of Two, " a folk ballad orignally performed by The Indigo Grils about the difficulties of joys of love, emerges as one of the disc's high points.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Where one ends and the other begins--Powerful Twosome, Love, love it!
All the positive reviews I agree with. I don't understand the reviewer who said it didn't work for him. I totally disagree. I was familiar with Michael Feinstein and looked up Cheyenne Jackson on youtube, etc., My sister liked Michael and talked to Rosemary Clooney at Disney MGM years ago, a fan question and answer. She asked her if she and he would do another album together. I don't know if that happened. Anyway, I debated as to whether I should buy this. I had seen Michael Feinstein on Jerry ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Two is Better Than One
Michael Feinstein has never been better than on this CD. And, it is a great introduction to Cheyenne Jackson known to too few folks. His Broadway exposure deserves wider attention and this is the vehicle for that. Wonderful song selections, duets and solos. I have bought several copies for foreign friends. All are very happy to be introduced to Cheyenne Jackson and agree with me: "The Power of Two" is better than one.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great cocktail party music!
This vastly talented duo have created a sublime CD of great jazz standards and soothing melodies perfect for background music at your next cocktail or dinner party, or when you just want to mellow-out.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Semi-legendary Michael
This album did not work for me , the major pitfall is the sound , I was disappointed , Micheal is legendary with so many great albums under his belt , sorry to say this is not one of them .

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful combination of voices
The blending of these two beautiful voices makes for a terrific album. Michael's lighter, airier voice melds perfectly with the glorious, sonorous voice of Cheyenne. If you like Cheyenne's voice on this album, you must buy the new Broadway cast Finian's Rainbow to hear what his voice sounds like without the constraints required for singing on this cabaret-style album. Cheyenne has the most amazing voice on Broadway today. Let's have a solo recording from Cheyenne next on the agenda.
